A new report shines some light on Kyle O’Reilly‘s return at AEW Revolution.
At AEW Revolution, Kyle O’Reilly made his surprise return after he had been out of action for over a year and a half as he recovered from neck surgery. He approached Roderick Strong after the latter won the AEW International Championship and seemingly rejected an offer to join the Undisputed Kingdom.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, at times during O’Reilly’s absence, AEW operated under the possibility that he may never return due to the injury. However, by the late fall of 2023, the company was optimistic about a comeback.
Per Sapp, in addition to O’Reilly’s new look, sources say that other elements for him will be different as well. Additionally, the report notes that while many expected him to join the Undisputed Kingdom, a different direction has been in the works for months.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
