New AEW World Tag Team Champions will be crowned in the aftermath of AEW Revolution.
At AEW Revolution, Sting and Darby Allin retained the AEW World Championship against the Young Bucks. The match marked Sting’s last match, as he retired upon the completion of the bout.
During the AEW Revolution post-show media scrum, Tony Khan announced that the AEW World Tag Team Championship would be vacated, and a tournament would crown new champions. He did not provide more details, but he noted that the tournament would mean that fans would have another bracket to fill out in addition to March Madness.
Khan also stated that Allin would face Jay White at AEW Dynamite: Big Business on March 13.
