Moose is open to “running” against Mustafa Ali.
WrestleZone recently spoke with Moose, the current TNA World Champion. Moose had been feuding with Alex Shelley, the man he beat for the title at Hard To Kill in January. Now, he’s also engaged in a feud with Nic Nemeth, the new number one contender for his title.
Moose was asked for his thoughts on Mustafa Ali, who joined the company last month. Moose said he’s certainly open to working with Ali, but his focus remained on his current challenger.
“Oh yeah, I’m always willing to challenge myself against new guys. I don’t think I’ve ever met Mustafa, but I know of his work and I know he’s a very good professional wrestler and entertainer. Of course I’m open to doing something with him, I’m open to working with him. It’s all about timing and the right opportunity,” Moose said. “I don’t look past any opponent, so I haven’t really thought about what’s next, [or] who’s next.”
Mustafa Ali is the current X Division Champion, so there’s always a possibility that Moose and Ali could meet if “Option C” came into play. That match will have to wait until at least after TNA Rebellion in April. Moose will defend his title against Nic Nemeth, while Ali will defend his title against the winner of the “Mustafa Ali’s Rebellion Referendum” match.
