The Undertaker may be retired from in-ring competition, but he’s still a lot busier now than he expected to be.
On the latest episode of Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, the WWE Hall of Famer admitted his life right now post-retirement is much busier than he expected it to be.
“I thought retired life was going to be different,” The Undertaker admitted. “But I stay as busy now as I was then. I’m not getting punched in the face. I’m not taking bumps, but you still got to deal with airports and do all that and just being gone.
“And it seems like, especially here recently, I remember when I went to Tampa a few weeks ago, then Saudi, and then Australia, I couldn’t get much further apart. I gotta go to Saudi and then come back and then go the other direction to Australia. I mean, I’m blessed, I look at it that way that these people obviously they want me to come, but my goodness, it is [busy].”
The Undertaker compares The Rock to Elon Musk
When the host revealed that The Undertaker didn’t want the kind of retired life that The Rock has had in recent years, Taker made an interesting comparison between The Rock and Elon Musk.
“I don’t think guys like Rock and people like him, Elon, not that Elon Musk and Rock are alike, but they do have a lot of the same traits,” The Undertaker said. “But I don’t think it’s the money that motivates them. I know that Rock, Seven Bucks Promotion; he had seven bucks when he left and all that. Maybe initially, that was his motivation.
“But I think his vision and everything is so much bigger than how much scratch he’s got in his pocket. And those kinds of people, Elon Musk, are the same way, right? They like creating and things like that. I don’t know that I was necessarily blessed with that same gene. I’m committed to the things that I do. But I don’t really like having that many spoons out. I want to do what I’m doing, and I want to do it really well. But The Rock, he grinds, man.”
