Velveteen Dream Makes Surprise Pro Wrestling Return, Works Unadvertised Match

The Velveteen Dream made a surprise appearance at a pro wrestling event over the weekend.

Dynasty Wrestling brought Velveteen Dream (Patrick Clark) in for a surprise appearance at its “It Was All A Dream” event in Albany, New York. Clark interrupted the opening match and issued an open challenge. Clark, now using the name “Velveteen Man”, ended up winning his match with Alec Odin on the show.

Velveteen Dream has been absent from pro wrestling since he was released by WWE in 2021. Prior to his release, Clark faced several different accusations of inappropriate sexual activity and solicitation with minors.

After his release, Clark was also arrested twice in August 2022; once for battery and trespassing charges, and another for possession of drug paraphernalia. It was later reported that Clark’s battery and tresspassing charges were because Clark attacked and bit an employee at a gym.

One month later, EC3 accused Clark of trying to film wrestler’s penises at a party at his home. Clark has not been charged in any of these incidents, and maintains his innocence in the respective cases. In January 2024, Clark posted a new video where he apologized to many of the people he wronged in the past. Since then, he did an interview with Chris Van Vliet, but he’s largely remained out of the spotlight.

Dynasty posted the following in response to Clark’s appearance:

Last night, we did what most others wouldn’t. We took a risk on a person, & gave them an opportunity for a 2nd chance. A 2nd chance to fulfill their DREAM. We stand by that decision.

Thank you to the PACKED house for last night’s event! #WearetheDynasty
