“Of course I want him to come to AEW,” Bryan Danielson said. “Fans all over the world know how great Okada is, and although WWE and AEW are both major [companies], I hope he comes to AEW,” he said with a twinkle in his eye.
“If he goes to WWE, they might make him start with NXT (the third brand) like Shinsuke (Nakamura) to adapt to the American style, but that is not necessary for Okada, who is already complete. He is one of the best wrestlers in the world at this point, so he can come to the U.S. without changing anything.”
Bryan Danielson faced Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023. They clashed again at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.
Okada’s final NJPW match is set for NJPW New Beginning in Sapporo on February 24.
WrestleZone will provide more information about Okada’s future as it becomes available.
