Saraya says tag team titles would be beneficial for AEW’s women’s division.
Speaking on KTAR News 92.3, Saraya was asked to describe what she thinks the next step for the women’s division would be. She made it clear that she would like to see women’s tag team titles in AEW.
“AEW’s done really well putting multiple female matches on the shows, and I feel like we can keep doing that,” Saraya said. “I feel like we can start building the division even bigger, like introduce female tag team championships. Because right now we only have two championships, we have the TBS and the World Women’s Championship. But we could do tag teams. There’s tag teams there. We can build this division as something huge and something just as big as the guys.
“The guys have the trios championships, they have the tag championships, they have all these championships. It would just be really nice, if as women, we could have just an extra one. I’m not saying we should be overloaded with championships, it’d be too much at that point. But just adding the tag championship could spice things up in the division a little bit, gives the women something to chase other than just the two championships.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on February 7.
