Byron Saxton returned to NXT and filled in for Booker T, at least for one night.
Booker T previously announced that he would be forced to miss NXT Vengeance Day and several weeks of NXT TV after undergoing a medical procedure. Wade Barrett, who is currently part of the SmackDown broadcast team, filled in for him at NXT Vengeance Day.
Vic Joseph continued to call the action on the February 6 episode of WWE NXT, but he was joined by Byron Saxton. Saxton noted that he was excited to return to NXT, as the brand meant a lot to him.
Saxton has been with WWE since 2007. He has experience as a commentator, interviewer, and host. Saxton has previously worked as a commentator on NXT, RAW, and other shows. It is not known whether he will be Booker T’s replacement or if Tuesday’s episode was a one-off.
