A new report provides an update on the future of former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille, who entered free agency earlier in January.
Haus of Wrestling previously reported that WWE was super high on Kamille. Likewise, Mike Johnson of PWInsider wrote that WWE sources indicated that Kamille was on their radar.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer subsequently reported that Kamille was expected to land in WWE. Johnson also wrote that WWE sources confirmed that the company offered her an NXT deal.
In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Kamille is no longer expected to be WWE-bound. He writes that discussions are not moving forward. The report states that she had been offered an NXT deal, per a WWE source. Johnson states that the former NWA star has been in deep talks with AEW. The report notes that AEW is seen as a stronger destination for her because it would allow her to pursue acting more.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful responded to the report by stating that it was accurate, based on what he had heard. He wrote that Kamille met with AEW when she was backstage at a recent show.
