Ace Steel On CM Punk’s Injury: This MFer Can Make A Comeback Like Nobody’s Business

Ave Steel says CM Punk‘s injury is heartbreaking, but the former world champion is great at making comebacks.

CM Punk suffered a torn triceps during the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble. He had surgery, and he is set to be on the sidelines for the next several months.

Speaking on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast with Dennis Farrell, CM Punk’s trainer and longtime friend discussed his injury.

“It’s just shit luck. It’s just shit luck,” Ace Steel said. “Heartbroken, all of us in the family, those that are close to him. It brought him down, but he’s getting lifted back up by staying with the company, by not just going away and disappearing off into rehab-land. He’ll stay, I believe, just working with the company in a promotional force, rehabbing. They’ll give him the time to come back when it’s time, not rush him. Like ‘We need you back.’ No, when you are 100% medically cleared to get back in here, then you’re ready to go. They’re behind him 100%.”

Ace Steel: CM Punk Is Killer At Comebacks

Ave Steel then stated that CM Punk is “killer” at comebacks, even if the injury was hard to rationalize.

“For him, from the standpoint of, man, he was coming back and all this was happening, no one wants to hear that things happen for a reason,” Ace Steel said. “Don’t know the reason for this right now. I’m a believer in ‘things happen for a reason.’ I don’t know the reason for this right now. Don’t know. But I know this guy’s killer at comebacks, and this MFer can make a comeback like no one’s business.”

During a vignette on the February 5 episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk said his comeback would be the greatest of all time.

It is not known when CM Punk will return to the ring. WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
