Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s Mizuki is now the number one contender for the Singapore Pro Wrestling Queen of Asia Championship.
As previously reported, Mizuki returned to Singapore to compete against SPW’s homegrown Alexis Lee at the promotion’s Champions Never Yield 2 event. The bout also served as a Number One Contender’s Match for SPW’s Queen of Asia Championship currently held by fellow TJPW wrestler Yuki Kamifuku. Ultimately, it was Mizuki who came out victorious to earn a shot at the Queen of Asia title.
Yuki Kamifuku vs. Mizuki set for future clash
This marks Mizuki’s first time competing for the said title. While she and Yuki have shared the ring on multiple occasions in TJPW whether in singles or tag action, their upcoming title match will make quite the historic mark. It would be the first time two female Japanese wrestlers compete for the Queen of Asia Championship in a singles bout.
As of the time of writing, there is yet to be an official date and location for the Mizuki vs. Yuki Kamifuku match for the Queen of Asia Championship. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes publicly available.
Alexis Lee’s response
While former champion Alexis Lee may have lost the opportunity to gain her title back, she remains the CWE Vixen’s Champion: a title she has held for 2508 days and counting. She is also set to defend this title at Middle Kingdom Wrestling’s upcoming Bash at the Bay show in
Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Alexis will defend her belt against Hibiscus Mii.
Alexis took to her Twitter to share her thoughts on her upcoming defense. “All for the love of the art of entertaining. For this trip, I would have worked 9 days in a row. My mind & body needs this win. Can’t wait to wrassle & bring my Vixen baby on a lil trip! LFG! It’s all worth it in the end,” she says.
