Powerhouse Hobbs wrestled his first match against Sting earlier this month on AEW Dynamite.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Powerhouse Hobbs recently sat down with Adrian Hernandez. When asked about sharing the ring with Sting earlier this month on AEW Dynamite, Hobbs took a moment to reflect on such an important moment in his career.
“I have so many childhood memories of Sting,” Powerhouse Hobbs began. “But actually being in the ring with him trusting me and me trusting him and having a hell of a tornado tag match teaming with Takeshita against Darby, Sting, then having Ric Flair in the mix? A main event on national TV. If you would have asked me 10, 15, 20 years ago? Come on.”
When asked if he was okay taking the Scorpion Death Drop off the stage and through a table, Hobbs confirmed that he was good but warned Sting that payback might be coming.
“I’m good,” Powerhouse Hobbs confirmed. “Sting better watch out because I know he’s retiring March 3rd, so payback can still come.”
