Cora Jade will reportedly be sidelined for several months, as she went down with an injury at an NXT live event.
Cora Jade apparently suffered an injury at the NXT live event in Dade City, Florida, on January 12. There, she lost to NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria. Fans at the show took to social media to show pictures in which it was evident that Jade suffered an injury.
In an update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Cora Jade suffered an ACL tear. Additional details are currently unclear.
Jade had recently returned to NXT following a lengthy absence. She “left” NXT on the August 1 episode, and she was not seen again until she appeared at NXT Deadline on December 9. She subsequently regained her status as a featured member of the roster. Jade defeated Gigi Dolin on the January 9 episode of NXT.
WWE has yet to officially announce the injury. There is no word on when Cora Jade will return to the ring.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
