WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins retained the gold on the first WWE RAW of 2024.
Seth Rollins previously beat Drew McIntyre to retain the title at WWE Crown Jewel. Since then, McIntyre has showcased more aggression, and he has scored major wins against Sami Zayn and Jey Uso. In doing so, McIntyre earned a rematch on the “Day 1” edition of WWE RAW on January 1.
In the main event of WWE RAW, Rollins and McIntyre battled it out in a thrilling contest. Late in the match, Damian Priest charged to the ring with his Money in the Bank briefcase and hit Rollins with it. Priest went to cash in his briefcase, but McIntyre leveled him with a Claymore Kick.
Rollins then rallied and hit McIntyre with a Pedigree on the broadcast table. The champion clinched the win by flooring McIntyre with The Stomp.
