A new champion will be crowned at AEW Worlds End.
During the New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite on December 27, the last two league matches took place to determine who will compete for AEW’s first Triple Crown Championship this Saturday.
In the opening bout, Jon Moxley, Jay White, and Swerve Strickland battled in a three-way to determine the Gold League winner. After nearly a half hour, Moxley planted White with the Death Rider for the three-count while Strickland struggled to crawl over to break it up.
Later on, ROH World and NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston took on Bryan Danielson in the Blue League final. The closing moments saw Danielson gear up for the running knee strike when Kingston nailed him with a couple of spinning back fists followed by the powerbomb before stacking on top of him for the three-count.
As a result, Kingston will now officially defend his ROH World and NJPW STRONG Openweight titles against Moxley while also competing to add the AEW Continental Championship to his collection.

- AEW TBS Championship: Julia Hart (c) vs. Abadon
- Miro vs. Andrade El Idolo
- Swerve Strickland vs. Keith Lee
- FTW Rules Match for the FTW Championship: HOOK (c) vs. Wheeler Yuta (Zero Hour)
