There were a handful of talents who got released from WWE earlier this year. One such wrestler was Hit Row’s Top Dolla [a.k.a AJ Francis]. He recently shared the ideas he pitched to WWE management in an attempt to grow his faction.
Recently, AJ Francis was interviewed by Muscle Man Malcolm. During the interview, the former WWE Superstar revealed that he wanted former NXT Superstar Odyssey Jones who was drafted to WWE Raw earlier in 2023 to be part of Hit Row.
“And I even talked about adding Omari, Odyssey Jones to Hit Row. As like muscle. You know what I’m saying? I’m already muscle but like… Like Suge Knight. I look like Suge Knight. Suge Knight rolled around with 20 Mexican Bloods. That’s a real thing he would do. Yeah, he could whoop people’s ass but he would have hitters with him. So that’s not a crazy thing. We talked about adding him too,” Top Dolla said.
AJ Francis had pitched another storyline involving R-Truth
During the interview, Top Dolla also shared that he had an idea about R-Truth being part of his faction. A storyline that is similar to the current one he’s involved with The Judgment Day.
“There was one pitch we did with R-Truth. I pitched it like this. You know how Edge came back and he was the ‘Vet’ in Judgment Day and they jumped his ass out and added a new member? So the whole pitch was, R-Truth coming to us being like, ‘Yo! What y’all got going is not working out. Not Winning. I’ve been in this game for a long time. Let me show you how it’s done. And we can all be successful.’ At first I’m like, ‘I don’t want to hear what this old man gotta say.’ Even though in real life R-Truth is my homie.

“But as a character I’m like, ‘I don’t want to hear what this old dude got to say.’ And B-Fab and Ashonte were like, ‘Nah man! Let’s just hear him out. Let’s talk about…’ And I’m like ‘All right man. All right. Let’s hear him out.’ So we hear him out and I’m still against it a little bit. But kind of like the whole way they did with Damian Priest and JD. So, that whole thing where I’m against it but eventually I’m like, ‘All right cool. It’s working.’ And it starts working and everything’s looking good and then something happens.
“Whether we lose a big match or something happens. Whatever that thing would be. And we all just snap on R-Truth. And we just jump R-Truth out. But like… Yeah, the R-Truth thing… That was supposed to… And it’s funny cuz they’re kinda doing that now. It’s different because it’s obvious he’s not going to be in Judgment Day. It’s not the same thing. But it’s kinda like the same thing. But yes, that’s another pitch that I had.”
