AJ Styles is back.
AJ Styles had been sidelined since October, as The Bloodline took him out with a vicious attack on the road to WWE Fastlane. On the December 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns made his return to the show. Randy Orton confronted him and challenged him to a match, but Reigns turned him down.
In the main event, Orton defeated Jimmy Uso in a singles match, thanks to some help from LA Knight. Knight stopped Solo Sikoa from interfering. Reigns came out and attacked Knight. He then brawled with Orton. Sikoa and Uso got involved, and they overwhelmed Orton and Knight. Styles suddenly appeared and took down Reigns with a Phenomenal Forearm.
Styles briefly stood tall with Orton and Knight. However, the celebrity mood quickly soured when Styles turned on Knight and attacked him. Styles then walked away as the show came to an end.
