Charlotte Flair will be out of action for a significant amount of time.
During the December 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, the commentary team announced that Charlotte Flair will be out of action for nine months following the knee injury she suffered one week prior. Specific details regarding the injury were not revealed.
Flair hurt her knee during a nasty spill off the top rope while battling Asuka on the December 8 SmackDown. Following the scary spot, Asuka pinned Flair to win. The last update was that the multi-time WWE Women’s Champion had been pulled from the road for further evaluation.
Charlotte started 2023 as WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and later lost it to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. She then spent the summer trying to win the gold back from IYO SKY, which culminated in Flair competing in her first WarGames match last month against Damage CTRL.
WrestleZone wishes Flair a speedy recovery and will provide more details as information becomes available.
