Thunder Rosa comments on potentially returning to AEW.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has been sidelined since August 2022. She was dealing with a back injury, and she has been on the road to recovery ever since. Rosa recently stated that she is ready to come back, but she is waiting on a call from Tony Khan.
Speaking with Nick Talbot for the San Antonio Express-News, Thunder Rosa was asked what it would mean to her if she returned at the December 23 taping of AEW Collision in San Antonio.
“If it was in California, I would be happy too. Because I started in Oakland, California, the San Francisco area, Bay Area,” Thunder Rosa said. “That’s where I started. There was like a hope in me, maybe I can do it in Oakland. It’s in God’s hands right now. But if it’s in God’s hands, I return on December 23… I think that would be such a blessing because I’m doing it again, or I will be doing it again in front of my people, people that have seen me, people that have been with me throughout this whole entire journey, the good and the bad moments.
“What better way to just repay them with a happy moment, right? Because at the end of the day, return, and life has given you another opportunity to do something that you love, [it’s] just such a blessing.”
