One of the legends in the professional wrestling business is Billy Gunn. To date, he is an active wrestler as well. Currently, Gunn is one of the members of The Acclaimed. The faction are the current AEW World Trios Champions.
Gunn is not only a wrestler, but he is also a trainer. Billy Gunn and QT Marshall are two of the few talents that are running the Nightmare Factory. They are actively training the next generation of wrestlers.
Recently, Gunn opened up about the training regime during an interview with The A2theK Wrestling Show.
“Yeah. So I do a little bit of everything. Me and QT have with some other guy… I don’t know if I could mention his name on here, but not that I really wanted to but… We have Nightmare Factory here in McDonough, Georgia. I train. Me and QT do a night class and then they also do campers. They have 12 week camps that they still run there. So I get all the coaching I want.
“Mondays and Thursday nights there and then when I go to AEW shows I help coach. You know, and I help produce some stuff there. So I did you know… You know… I… Any way that I can help, that’s what I do. I don’t you know. I am not specific to one thing. I mean obviously I coach, I produce, I wrestle, I talk, I do everything,” Billy Gunn said.
Billy Gunn is having fun and enjoying what he does in AEW
While speaking on the same episode, Gunn shared that he enjoys his work and is happy to always help groom the future stars of the business.
“But as long as I am having fun and I enjoy what I’m doing then I’m good with all that. They can’t… I don’t mind carrying a load like that. Especially this younger talent that actually want to hear it. So there’s a few of those and a few that don’t. But hey, that’s on them. Not me. But I’m always there, always willing to help. And you know, either make something make sense or make something that they can’t figure out, help them figure out. Yeah. I don’t know all the answers but I can probably get you there in a pretty good way. So that’s what I do. So I get all my stuff that I do out of there, out there.”
