Judas Priest was one of the most popular metal bands in the world. They have composed a lot of hits over the years, and their music still has an influence on today’s bands. A fan recently shared an interesting fact. He claimed one of the band’s popular songs was created thanks to a WWE enhancement talent named Mark Young.
Mark Young began his wrestling career back in 1988. When he started his professional wrestling career he began in the World Wrestling Federation. During his run in the promotion, he was competing in the WWF Superstars of Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge episodes. Young shared the squared circle with several legends like Tatanka, Roddy Piper, Jim Neidhart, and Owen Hart. However, due to his role as an enhancement talent, Young lost all his matches.
After his stint in WWF, he moved to Japan to wrestle at the All Japan Pro Wrestling promotion. That’s where he teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes.
Recently, a fan revealed the Judas Priest song ‘A Touch of Evil’ was inspired by the stock music used by Young.
“Appalling absurd wrestling fact ? 80’s WWF jobber Mark Young used a piece of stock music called ‘Touch of Evil’ in his short WWF 1989 run. Anyway, it was done by Chris Tsangarides who used the demo riff to later produce ‘A Touch of Evil’ for Judas Priest.”
Chris Tsangarides was a British record producer. He was best known for his work with bands like Judas Priest, Helloween, and Yngwie Malmsteen.
