The 2023 WWE NXT men’s Breakout tournament is officially underway
During the December 12 episode of NXT, Alicia Taylor formally introduced all eight competitors for the 2023 men’s Breakout tournament ahead of the first two matches taking place.
Despite Myles Borne having had a few televised appearances in recent months, Oba Femi’s stature and strength proved to be the difference maker as he was able to score the pinfall win in order to advance to the semi-finals.
Later on, Chase U’s Riley Osborne took on fellow newcomer Keanu Carver. With Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne watching from the Chase U student section, Osborne was able to advance after hitting a shooting star press for the win.
Looking ahead, Femi will take on the winner of Tavion Heights vs. Luca Crusifino, while Osborne will eventually face the winner of Lexis King vs. Dion Lennox. King is replacing Trey Bearhill after he attacked him during the introductions.
