Charlotte Flair suffered an apparent injury on the December 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, and a new report provides an update.
On Friday, Charlotte Flair faced Asuka in a singles match. Flair seemingly suffered an injury when she slipped from the top rope during the match. During the match, Flair could be seen yelling “my knee” to the referee. Asuka won the bout, and Flair was helped to the back. Charlotte was then pulled from the live events over the weekend.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Charlotte Flair has returned home to Florida. Per WWE sources, she is not expected back in the ring until she is completely evaluated. Flair has been pulled off the road, as the company is waiting to get confirmation regarding the nature of the injury. Johnson writes that the company is working on setting that up.
WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
