Mark Briscoe is officially out of the AEW Continental Classic following a loss tonight on AEW Dynamite.
In a match against Swerve Strickland, Briscoe lost after getting hit with a finisher and getting pinned. The loss was Briscoe’s third straight in the tournament, making him 0-3 and officially, mathematically eliminating him from the possibility of winning.
While Briscoe is now officially unable to win the tournament, he still will be competing in it. Instead, Briscoe can act as a spoiler of sort in his future matches. Currently, he’s planned to face off against Jay White and Jay Lethal in his final two matches of the Classic.
