On last night’s episode of WWE NXT, there were two qualifying matches for the Iron Survivor Challenge matches. One for the men’s match, and the other for the women’s one. Bron Breakker battled Eddie Thorpe in the men’s match. In the women’s side of things, Kiana James wrestled Kelani Jordan.
It was WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler who picked the contestants for the matches. The men’s side of things may have seemed one-sided, but it wasn’t the case in the women’s side of things. After a hard-fought battle, James managed to pick up the win. But she did not do it all by herself, she got some help from Roxanne Perez.
“Oh my gosh, Kelly. I am excited, I am thrilled. And I came into this match with a chip on my shoulder. Because we all know the Breakout Tournament didn’t turn out in my favor, but we all know who really broke out. So when I went into the ring today, I knew I had to give it my all. I knew I had to prove myself. And Kiana, she’s smart, she’s powerful, but hey, the better woman won today,” Kelani Jordan said.
The Breakout Tournament finalist also claimed that even if the former NXT Women’s Champion hadn’t interfered, she would have still won.
“Well, Roxy (Roxanne Perez) and Kiana have their own beef going on. And whether Roxy interfered or not, I was going to come out on top. And just like came out on top today, I’m going to come out on top at NXT Deadline and prove to everyone why Kelani Jordan is a force to be reckoned with.”
Perez and James continued their brawl in the parking lot as well.
