The Young Bucks are reportedly starting a new chapter of their careers in AEW. A new report provides an update on the situation.
After Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho beat The Young Bucks at AEW Full Gear, Brandon Cutler took to social media to announce that they would be taking some time away from wrestling, He subsequently cited sources who noted that the duo was finished with Being The Elite. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that the Bucks were set to turn heel. He also stated that Cutler would be doing more speaking for them.
Dave Meltzer addressed the situation in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He wrote that the Young Bucks “look to be doing a heel group with Brandon Cutler.” Colt Cabana has been talked about for the stable, but his involvement is not a lock.
Meltzer noted that the idea is for Matt and Nick Jackson to take some time off and come back as heels in a big way. There is no word on when they will return to AEW programming.
Meltzer report also stated that the Young Bucks’ trademark for KTB Wrestling was not part of this idea, and it is for projects outside of AEW.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
