New Japan Pro-Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with NJPW Lonestar Shootout on November 10.
Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Zack Sabre Jr., and other stars competed at the show.

Pre-Show
STRONG Survivor Match: Matt Vandagriff vs. Barrett Brown
Vandagriff takes control early on. Brown suplexes him into the corner. Vandagriff rallies with some strikes but eats a suplex. They trade blows. Vandagriff hits a buckle bomb and a Spear. Brown dodges a 450 Splash and drops Vandagriff with a kick.
He hits the Bitter Buster for a two count. Vandagriff hits a 450 Splash for the win.

Fred Rosser vs. Tom Lawlor
Lawlor and Rosser trade strikes early on. They’re evenly matched early on. Lawlor sends Rosser to the outside with a knee. He chops Rosser at ringside. Back in the ring, the two foes battle for positioning. Lawlor drills Rosser with a stiff blow. Rosser grounds Lawlor and targets his leg. Lawlor drops Rosser with a dropkick. On the apron, Lawlor kicks Rosser. Rosser fires up and goes for a slam. Lawlor locks in a guillotine but releases the hold.
Rosser slams Lawlor on the apron. Lawlor counters the Gut Check into an ankle lock, but Rosser escapes. He hits the Gut Check for a two-count. Lawlor takes control and slams Rosser. Rosser gets a two-count with a Death Valley Driver. Lawlor drills Rosser with some nasty knees. He traps Rosser in the ankle lock, but Rosser transitions out of it and pins Lawlor.
Winner: Fred Rosser
Lawlor offers Rosser a handshake, and Rosser accepts it. They trade slaps and shake hands again.
Main Show
Ultimo Guerrero, Rocky Romero & Hechicero vs. Atlantis, Tiger Mask & Mascara Dorada
Guerrero and Atlantis start the bout and feel each other out. The match is a stalemate early on. Dorada and Hechicero tag in and square off. They go back and forth. Dorada takes Hechicero down with a headscissors and gets a two-count with a Shooting Star Press. Romero and Tiger Mask tag in. Rocky gains the upper hand, but Tiger Mask sends him to the outside and dives onto him. Romero dumps Tiger Mask off the top rope. Hechicero tags in and double-teams Tiger Mask with Guerrero.
Romero tags back in and clotheslines Tiger Mask in the corner. Tiger Mask drops Romero with a Tiger Driver for a two-count. Atlantis and Guerrero enter the match again and trade blows. Atlantis sends Hechicero into Guerrero. He keeps rolling with some breakbreakers. Dorada dives onto Hechicero at ringside. Tiger Mask and Atlantis double-team Romero. Dorada takes Romero down with a headscissors. They trade strikes. Hechicero floors Dorada with a back-breaker. Hechicerp traps Dorada in a submission and gets a two-count with a pin attempt. Dorada hits a crucifix driver and hits a shooting star press for the win.

Joey Janela vs. Toru Yano
Janela attacks Yano during the introductions and keeps up the assault. Janela grabs a microphone and talks some trash. Yano sprays something in Janela’s eyes and takes control. Yano slams him into the turnbuckle. The match spills to the outside, and Janela gains the upper hand. Back in the ring, Janela grounds Yano. Yano suplexes Janela onto some chairs. Yano sweeps Janela and sends him crashing onto the apron. Janela fires back with a superkick and drops Yano with a piledriver onto some chairs. Yano powerbombs Janela onto some chairs.
Yano ties Janela to a chair. Joey breaks free and rocks Yano with a discus elbow. Janela hits a Death Valley Driver onto a chair. Janela gets a two-count with a diving stomp on top of a chair.
Yano dodges a chair shot and hits Janela below the belt. He rolls Janela up for the win.

In a backstage interview, TJP previews his match against Mistico.
BULLET CLUB (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, Chase Owens & Alex Coughlin) vs. Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight
Things get a little chippy as the two teams face off before the bell. Chase Owens squares off with Tanga Loa. They go back and forth. The two teams brawl after a pinfall gets broken up. KUSHIDA and his teammates gain the upper hand. Knight and KUSHIDA double-team Owens. Kidd hits KUSHISA from behind. Owens drops KUSHIDA with a back-breaker. Coughlin tags in and overpowers KUSHIDA. Bullet Club takes control as they ground KUSHIDA and isolate him.
KUSHIDA and Kidd trade blows. Tonga tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. Connors and Kidd gang up on Tonga. Knight tags in and fires up with a rally. KUSHIDA and Knight double-team Kidd. Knight keeps fighting as he kicks Coughlin and Connors. Connors catches Knight with a spear.
Connors and Coughlin slam Knight for the win.

NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship: El Phantasmo & Hikuleo (c) vs. West Coast Wrecking Crew (Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs)
The two teams start fighting right away. The champions gain the upper hand. Phantasmo and Hikuleo maintain the advantage. The challengers take charge with a dive as Isaacs suplexes Phantasmo onto Hikuleo. West Coast Wrecking Crew grounds Phantasmo. They isolate him and control to control the action. Phantasmo rallies, but Hikuleo gets pulled off the apron. Hikuleo tags in and clears house.
Isaacs counters a chokeslam, but Hikuleo drops him with a powerslam. Hikuleo and Phantasmo double-team Isaacs. Phantasmo accidentally kicks Hikuleo. Isaacs gets a two-count with a roll-up and another with a suplex. West Coast Wrecking Crew takes control.
The official gets knocked down. Isaacs hits Hikuleo below the belt, and the big man gets blasted with one of the tag titles. Nelson goes to hit Phantasmo with the title, but he drops, so Isaacs gets rocked instead. Phantasmo pins him for the win.

Mistico vs. TJP
TJP aggressively takes the fight to Mistico, sends him to the outside, and dives onto him. Back in the ring, TJP grounds Mistico. Mistico rallies and hits a back handspring elbow. He dives onto TJP at ringside. TJP gains the upper hand and hits a shoulder-breaker. He again grounds Mistico and traps him in a bow-and-arrow hold. Mistico fires up.
He hits a senton for a two-count. TJP plants Mistico with a tornado DDT. Mistico hits a crossbody off the ropes. Mistico locks in the Fujiwara arm-bar, and TJP taps out.
Winner: Mistico
NJPW Strong Openweight Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Satoshi Kojima
Kingston and Kojima lock up and feel each other out. Kojima sends Kingston to the outside with a shoulder block, and Kingston’s shoulder is apparently bothering him. Kingston and Kojima brawl on the outside. Kojima chops Kingston in the corner. Kingston fires back with some chops of his own. Kojima plants Kingston with a DDT on the apron.
Kojima continues to target Kingston’s shoulder. Kingston fires back with some suplexes. Kojima nails Kingston with a lariat and gets a two-count with a cutter. Kingston rocks Kojima with three back fists. Kojima responds with a lariat, and both men are down.
Kojima dumps Kingston with a brainbuster. Kingston hits a lariat and a modified suplex for a two-count. The champion hits a back fist and a Northern Lights Bomb for the win.

Kingston and Kojima show their respect for each other. After Kojima leaves the ring, Gabe Kidd blindsides Kingston and attacks him. He hits Kingston with the title. Kidd cuts a promo on Kingston and plants him with a piledriver. A doctor and an official check on Kingston. Kingston walks to the back with a referee helping him.
On the video screen, Trent Beretta shares his thoughts ahead of his match against Shingo Takagi.
Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta vs. David Finlay & KENTA
Finlay attacks Moxley during his entrance. KENTA and Finlay control the action early on. KENTA and Finlay isolate Yuta. Yuta rallies with an atomic drop and a kick. Moxley tags in and fires up with a flurry of strikes to KENTA. He spikes KENTA with a piledriver and hits some hammer-and-anvil elbows. The former world champion traps KENTA in a modified Cloverleaf. Finlay tries to break it up, but Moxley fights him. He knocks Moxley off the ropes, and KENTA kicks him. Finlay keeps Moxley grounded.
Moxley fires back with a lariat. Yuta hits a crossbody on Finlay and knocks KENTA off the apron. He floors Finlay with a German suplex. Yuta evades the Go to Sleep and catches KENTA with a dropkick. Finlay distracts Yuta. KENTA goes to hit Yuta with the DEFY Title, but Yuta blocks it and slams him. Moxley and Finlay go back and forth. KENTA hits a diving double stomp. Moxley counters the GTS and hits the Death Rider for the win.

NJPW World TV Championship: Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Mike Bailey
Bailey drills Sabre Jr. with some kicks early on. He hits a moonsault to the outside. Sabre Jr. takes control and grounds Bailey as he wrenches him in some painful holds. The champion targets Sabre Jr.’s arm. They trade blows. Bailey nails Sabre Jr. with a kick and hits a standing Shooting Star Press. They keep battling. Bailey dives onto Sabre Jr. at ringside. Sabre Jr. went for a choke, but Bailey countered. Sabre Jr. turned it into a pin attempt. Bailey hits a Spanish Fly for a two-count. He kicks Sabre Jr. Bailey hits the moonsault knees.
Sabre Jr. goes for a triangle choke. Bailey slams his way out. Sabre Jr. locks in an arm-bar and wrenches Bailey’s fingers. The clock ticks down to ten seconds, and Bailey taps out.

IWGP Women’s Championship: Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer
Iwatani and Vaquer lock up and feel each other out. They trade counters, and they’re evenly matched in the early going. Vaquer rocks Iwatani with a kick. The challenger takes control and grounds Iwatani. The champion rallies and sends Iwatani to the outside. Vaquer nails her with a kick and hits a crossbody. Iwatani dives onto Vaquer at ringside. Vaquer counters a moonsault into a triangle choke. Iwatani rocks Vaquer with a kick and pins her for the win.

NEVER Openweight Championship: Shingo Takagi (c) vs. Trent Beretta
Takagi and Beretta lock up and feel each other out. Takagi gains an early advantage. Beretta fires back and chops Takagi. He takes the champion down with a headscissors and a kick. Takagi knocks Beretta to the floor. He sends Trent crashing into the barricade. The champion plants Trent with a DDT on the floor. Takagi hits Beretta with a brainbuster. Trent catches Takagi with a Spear. Trent gets a table and throws it at Takagi.
The referee gets knocked down. Trent slams Takagi through a table. He goes to hit Takagi with a piece of a table, but Takagi blocks it and hits the challenger with the wood. Trent is busted open, and Takagi sends him into the ring post. Takagi gets Trent back in the ring and grounds him. Trenthits Takagi with two German suplexes and floors him with a half-and-half suplex. Trent blasts Takagi with a knee strike. Takagi answers with a DDT. Takagi slams Trent into the turnbuckles.
The champion hits the Last of the Dragon for a two-count. Takagi levels Trent with a lariat and slams him for another two-count. Trent gets a near fall with the Dudebuster. Beretta and Takagi keep battling, as they refuse to go down. Trent hits a Gotch-style piledriver for a two-count. Takagi counters the Dudebuster and slams Beretta. Shingo traps Trent in a submission hold, but Trent reaches the ropes. Shingo slams Trent again for the win.
Winner and still NEVER Openweight Champion: Shingo Takagi
Takagi grabs a microphone after the bell and praises Beretta. He asks who’s next, and the lights go out. Tama Tonga comes out and confronts Takagi. He says he wants a rematch for the title, and Takagi accepts. He says it will be at Wrestle Kingdom in Tokyo. Takagi and Tonga stare each other down.
