It sounds like there has been a major lack of communication between Arez, AAA, and Major League Wrestling.
The current AAA La Leyenda Azul Blue Demon Champion took to social media this morning to request his release from Major League Wrestling in English and Spanish.
You can check out both versions of his statement in the embedded tweet below:
In a strange and unexpected twist, Major League Wrestling quickly took to social media to respond to Arez’s release request, tweeting out:
“MLW notified AAA in May that both Arez and Aramis were released from the MLW contracts as AAA is a co-signee on both contracts. AAA confirmed they would relay this to talent at that time. Evidently they did not. We wish Aramis and Arez the best with the future,” MLW said in response.
Arez hasn’t responded to Major League Wrestling’s statement as of this writing.
