Logan Paul vows to take the gold from Rey Mysterio, even if it will pain him to do so.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Logan Paul will challenge Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship.
Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul discussed the upcoming match. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription).
“I’m going for you bro, you’re looking at the future US Champ right here. Unfortunately, I have to take it from Rey Mysterio, the legend,” Logan Paul said. “I have to punch him in the face a few times.”
Paul was then asked whether it hurts to clash with a beloved star like Mysterio, and he admitted that it sucks, as he loves him as a wrestler. Paul stated that he respects Mysterio, but the veteran has something he needs.
“It sucks” Logan Paul said. “I love Rey Mysterio as a wrestler, and this is what I’ve been saying, I respect Rey, how can you not? He is one of the greatest, surely the greatest luchador of all time, he just has something I need.”
Logan Paul: I Got The Bug For Wrestling
Logan Paul went on to discuss how quickly he has adapted in the beginning of his WWE career and stated that it comes to him naturally.
“I got the bug,” he said. “I’m doing these things and this comes so much more natural to me than boxing. People tell me I belong here, I actually feel like I belong. I have the opportunity to go after these champions and win these belts, I don’t know how many humans get this opportunity, I might have to take this.”
