Mistico made his AEW debut on the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage.
Friday’s show opened with a showcase of a collaboration between AEW and CMLL. In a Two-Out-of-Three Falls match, NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion Mistico defeated Rocky Romero. They traded the first two fans, as Mistico made Romero tap out, while Romero pinned his opponent with a Sliced Bread. Mistico scored the decisive fall with La Mistica.
The match marked a buzzworthy collaboration between AEW and CMLL. CMLL’s Mr. Salvador Lutteroth was present for the bout.
