In the current era of professional wrestling, one thing that most fans are interested in is seeing esteemed professional journalist and top pro wrestling websites rank their favorite wrestlers. On occasion, wrestlers react to what rank they received as well. Just like how the current NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has reacted to where she has been ranked in 2023.
Over the years, PWI has built a reputation for ranking professional wrestlers. The magazine is one of the most anticipated professional wrestling ranking sites every year. They release a separate rank list for male and female wrestlers. Following their yearly practice, they recently released the list of the top 250 female wrestlers of the year.
In the list, the current WWE NXT Women’s Champion was ranked at number 29. While she was at the bottom end of the top 30, her former friend and one of her biggest rivals, The Queen Charlotte Flair, was ranked at 21.
The one that topped the list was the current WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Champion, Rhea Ripley. This marks the first time The Eradicator was even part of the top ten in the list.
Considering the fact that last year The Man was ranked number four in the top 150 women of professional wrestling by PWI, Lynch had a hearty laugh. She took to Twitter to share in a now-deleted tweet, her reaction and by doing so, she also found this an opportunity to promote her book.
