Fairy t-shirt ideas, old-school wrestling holds, and gear pitches. Claudio Castagnoli reveals what the Blackpool Combat Club discusses in their group chat.
The Blackpool Combat Club is arguably wrestling’s most violent faction, but they are also as close as a family. All the members have spoken about their genuine bond and now, Claudio Castagnoli reveal some of the details of their group chat in a new interview with Sporf.
Among other things, Claudio says the group is trying to pitch putting a fairy on their new shirt with the slogan “Be Violent.”
“I think right now we’re trying to figure out, we were talking the other day in our group chat, about a new Blackpool Combat Club shirt. And I think we want to have a slogan, like ‘Be Violent’, but then have like a fairy or something on it, like from a cartoon or from a children’s book or something.
“We don’t need more skulls on our shirts and blood and stuff. Let’s have something fun paired with something that’s completely, completely different. There would be a Tinkerbell-type thing and then ‘Be Violent’. I think that would be brilliant.”

Claudio Castagnoli Reveals ‘Pitch’ For Wheeler Yuta To Wear New Gear
Claudio also says the group of technicians often share images of old-school wrestling holds and then one of these images, a man was wearing what could essentially be equated to a diaper. Now, the group wants to see Wheeler Yuta wear that gear.
“There’s always holds and moves and stuff like that in the group chat. And it’s usually really, really old school holds. There was a picture of old school lifting techniques from like the 1920s, where they were wearing like, the guy was essentially wearing a diaper, kind of like a sumo, you know, around their waist lifting stuff. And we’re trying to convince Wheeler that’s his new gear.”
Perhaps this new gear can take Yuta to the next level. Sumo gear worked for Yokozuna after all.
Claudio and Yuta were most recently successful in tag team action on the October 13 AEW Rampage, defeating the Gates of Agony in the main event of the Friday night show.
