Ariane Andrew Addresses The Possibility Of Working With Trinity, Returning To WWE

Ariane Andrew is hoping to reunite with Trinity in the ring sometime.

Their paths have been diverted for nearly seven years. But now, the stars now have the possibility to line up a storyline between former tag team partners, Ariane Andrew and Trinity — formerly known as The Funkadactyls in WWE. Trinity remained with WWE for six years following Andrew’s departure, but now, Trinity finds herself in uncharted territory. Currently signed with IMPACT Wrestling, Trinity is also allowed to explore the independent wrestling scene for in-ring appearances. This opens the door for a potential crossover with Ariane Andrew, who is launching her own indie promotion — Pound Town Wrestling.

Speaking with Steve Fall of WrestlingNewsCo, Andrew discussed the possibility of working with Trinity again.

“I’m hoping especially now with me kind of venturing out and doing my own thing and creating my own promotion and stuff like that. I feel like we’re now in a place where we can kind of walk through the beat of our own drum with doing things on how we want to do it. There’s an opportunity there,” Andrew said.

“When you’re in a bigger company it’s kind of their rules and what they feel. When you’re doing your own thing in a sense, and not saying that the company that she’s with [is like that], just when you’re in that big daddy, like WWE is a beast. It’s a different type of machine. What I’ve noticed when people go to different companies that are not as grandeur, there’s a little bit more leniency of what you can do and what they allow you to do, which is awesome.”

WWE Return?

Wrestling fans saw Ariane Andrew make a brief return to the WWE-sphere in 2022. She competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Unfortunately for Andrew, she was swiftly eliminated by Sonya Deville, who was immersed in a heated rivalry with Trinity at the time.

When asked if she had interest in a return to WWE, Andrew admitted that she was open to the idea. But right now, she’s focused on building up Pound Town Wrestling.

“Who knows. I still feel like there’s a lot of unfinished business there [in WWE]. But one thing I will say is, when people always ask it’s always so specific, ‘Are you returning back to WWE?’ Where it’s like, why does this have to be just one place? There’s opportunity in other places. But let’s just say you know I’m doing my own thing right now we’ll just see what happens.”

“I love that I get to rock to the beat of my own drum of doing something that I love. And pretty much, respectfully, I’m about to make history. There’s been no indie show like this before. I also, correct me if I’m wrong, indie show that’s done like a pay-per-view type of thing. I’m the type of person, I’m gonna shoot for as high as I possibly can. Even if I don’t get there, I’m gonna fall somewhere in between. I’m that type of person, it’s like go hard or go home. There’s no other way to do it.
