Adam Cole will not compete this Sunday at AEW WrestleDream.
During the September 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, ROH World Tag Team Champions Adam Cole and MJF appeared in the ring to address Cole’s injury status. Cole, who walked out on crutches, announced that he shattered his ankle in three places last Wednesday when running out to help MJF in his title match against Samoa Joe.
As a result, Cole will have to undergo surgery. When he was about to announce that they were relinquishing their tag team titles, MJF interjected and refused that idea. Instead, MJF will defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Righteous in a handicap match this Sunday at AEW WrestleDream.
