Sami Callihan will officially enter free agency at the end of September.
On September 24, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that Sami Callihan’s contract with IMPACT Wrestling was up in “just under a week.” Mike Johnson of PWInsider then reported that Callihan would be leaving the company, and it was believed that he wrapped up over the weekend.
Callihan confirmed the news in a tweet. He wrote the date September 30, 2023, and “free agent” beneath it.
Callihan is a former IMPACT World Champion. He had been with the company since 2017. In the fall of 2022, Callihan suffered a broken ankle, which sidelined him until the following May. Throughout his career, Sami Callihan has also wrestled for WWE (in NXT), MLW, and NJPW, among other companies.
