Ohio Valley Wrestling is one of the most popular developmental promotions in the United States of America. A veteran in the promotion is Cash Flo.
Flo has once again gained a lot of popularity after Netflix’s show Wrestlers premiered about a week ago. Netflix recently caught up with the veteran in an attempt to enlighten the fans about who he is.
Cash Flo revealed that he decided to go with his current in-ring name right from the start. One of his wrestling school buddies gave him the idea by stating that everything Cash Flo did was nothing but money.
“I’ve always had the same name. I got it in wrestling school. Me and another guy going through the same wrestling school, we were tearing the ring down and discussing names and how we were going to be portrayed. He looked at me and said, “Man, the stuff that you do in the ring looks like money. All right, well, let’s go with that now. What about cash?” Well, it progressed and Ca$h Flo is where it stuck,” Cash Flo said.
Wrestling can be a positive experience
Flo also shared some insight on the show and mentioned why people should watch Wrestlers. He claimed it would be an eye-opening experience.
“I want them to understand the amount of hard work and perseverance and dedication and pride that a lot of the people they’re watching put into everything that they do in professional wrestling. Wrestling can be a positive experience. It can be uplifting. I hope the stigma of professional wrestling starts to wane, because I look at wrestling as a very positive thing in my life. I hope that other people do the same.”
The show is streaming on Netflix right now.
