The WWE releases continue this morning with former RAW Superstar Shelton Benjamin.
This is the second time WWE has released Benjamin, as he was previously released back in 2010.
Shelton Benjamin returned to WWE in 2017 and has competed in many high-profile matches over the past six years.
Benjamin took to social media to acknowledge the release, tweeting out:
“I have been released from my wwe contract. I thank @wwe staff, talent, and of course the fans for Everything. Something ends, something new Begins. Looking forward to my next Chapter,” Shelton Benjamin said in a post.
As of this writing, Benjamin’s tag team partner, Cedric Alexander, is still part of the WWE roster.
Benjamin’s WWE Accolades
Shelton Benjamin is a multi-time WWE Intercontinental and World Tag Team Champion, and a former United States Champion. Benjamin won the Intercontinental, RAW Tag Team and 24/7 titles three times each. He is also a one-time United States Champion.
