Booker T Says The Dyad Will Be Leaving WWE

Booker T says The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) will be leaving WWE.

The Dyad, formerly known as Grizzled Young Veterans, requested their release in April. At the time, they stated that their WWE contracts would be up in October.

Reid and Fowler were notably absent from the September 12 episode of WWE NXT, where Joe Gacy said the Schism tree only had two roots. NXT commentator subsequently noted that their time with WWE is coming to an end.

On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T commented on The Dyad and stated that they “exited” WWE. He also said that they will be leaving the company. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription).

“A couple of guys who just exited from the WWE as well,” Booker T said. “The Dyad, those guys just let their contract run out. They’ll be leaving the company. They may be showing up in AEW, you never know. They may be going back to the UK. Those guys were two of my favorites. I thought they had something good going. I like those guys, I hate to see them go.”

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the belief in the company is that Reid and Fowler are leaving, but they are still under contract through October 14.

Reid and Fowler have yet to confirm their departure. As of this writing, it’s unclear what their future holds.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
