Paul Wight says he thinks Vince McMahon is pissed about AEW All In, but not in the way one might expect.
All Elite Wrestling reportedly surpassed the ticket distribution record for AEW All In, its debut in the United Kingdom. The event promises to be the biggest show in AEW history.
In an interview with Inside The Ropes, Wight was asked to share his thoughts as to what McMahon thinks about AEW’s historic success with AEW All In.
“I think he is pissed,” Paul Wight said. “I think he is absolutely pissed, but he’s pissed in a good way. Because he is the type of guy that’s like ‘Oh, ok.’ He likes competition, he likes the challenge. Vince is very much an animal of the jungle type mentality. I think that Vince is a guy who thrives on competition, that thrives on doing new things, that thrives on being the best in his mind at what he does.
“So when competition steps up, that fires up Vince more than anything. The worst thing that can happen to Vince is to be bored and be monotonous. If he’s got competition, then it fires him up to be better, which is a win for the fans, because they’ll get a better product. It’s good for us, because we produce a better product so competition’s good.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW All In as it airs on August 27.
