Mickie James Comments On Returning From Injury, Says It Was A Reset She Needed

Mickie James says she’s feeling good after she missed several months due to an injury.

James suffered a rib injury that forced her to relinquish the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship and miss several months. She returned to the ring in July, and she will compete at RevPro’s 11 Year Anniversary show on August 25.

In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, James asked to describe how she is feeling following her return from the injury.

“I feel good. I think it was a reset I needed, that I didn’t really need a break, if you will, that I didn’t really understand,” Mickie James said. “I felt like I was doing so great, and really on a roll. It kind of sucked in the moment, but actually having the time off and being able to spend the summer with Donovan and take the time to let the bone heal correctly.

“We have this desire, we feel like we need to, ‘Oh no, I can just keep going, keep going.’ Spiritually, I think too, I needed a little time, a little break. I’m feeling good now.”

Mickie James Teases Potential Return To TV

Mickie James also commented on her match at RevPro’s 11 Year Anniversary show. She described how she wants to test herself before she potentially returns to television.

“I like the fact that no one expected me to show up at RevPro,” Mickie James said. “Obviously, it’s the night before AEW [at] Wembley. I hadn’t been to the UK in a while, and I was like, ‘I really want to test myself before I go back to TV, or whatever that is, and kind of feel my way back to make sure I’m ready.’ I haven’t wrestled since March, but I feel good.”

A previous report from Fightful Select noted that James remains a free agent.

WrestleZone will provide more information about Mickie James’ status as it becomes available.
