Former WWE Superstar Melina was a recent guest on Ring The Belle. When complimented on the heel character that she played in WWE, Melina revealed at one point; they told her she was too nice to be a heel.
“That’s an honor like seriously, but that’s where I see it as an acting role,” Melina said. “So it’s part acting, and then part athleticism because I love being athletic, and improv because everything’s on the fly, and if you make a mistake, you go around it and fix it into something else. It’s such a beautiful art form that combines so many things into one.
“They told me from the get-go, they’re like, ‘You can never be a heel, don’t even think about it. You’re too nice. Melina, you don’t have it in you.’ And it took Jazz and Jacqueline to say — I forget who it was that said, ‘No, you’re not going to be a heel.’ And then Jazz said, ‘Did you just see her in the ring right now? The way she moves? Heel!’ I looked at her and said thank you. She has no idea how much I loved her. Oh my goodness. And for her to say that? It was such an honor.”
