Roman Reigns is still “The Head of the Table” and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
At WWE SummerSlam, Reigns defended his title and his spot at the head of the table. He faced Jey Uso in Tribal Combat, which came after the cousins had been locked in a heated rivalry for months. Jimmy Uso previously turned on The Bloodline, and Jey followed him. The duo then defeated Reigns and Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam. Reigns and Sikoa proceeded to take Jimmy out with a brutal beatdown.
Given the bitter feud between Reigns and Jey, the match sparked plenty of buzz. Uso took the fight to Reigns early and often. The champion took control as he hit Jey with a kendo stick. The two stars threw everything they had at each other, as they traded blows and signature moves. Reigns kicked out of an Uso Splash, and the champion powebombed Uso onto some chairs.
Jey gained momentum with a Samoan drop through a table. The challenger then chased Reigns into the crowd, where Sikoa attacked him and slammed him through a table. Sikoa carried Jey back to the ring, but Reigns accidentally dropped him with a Spear. Jey fired up and hit Roman with a Spear. He also sent Reigns through the barricade with a Spear.
Jey then hit Sikoa through a table with a splash. He was seemingly on the verge of victory, as he hit Reigns with a Spear and an Uso Splash. However, a hooded individual broke up the pin by pulling Jey out of the ring. The mystery man revealed himself to be Jimmy Uso. He superkicked Jey, and Reigns proceeded to send Jey with a Spear through a table for the win.
