Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo made it through a journey full of ups and downs, and they emerged as champions at NXT Great American Bash.
At NXT Great American Bash, D’Angelo and “Stacks” defeated Gallus in the opening bout to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
In an NXT digital exclusive, D’Angelo and “Stacks” commented on their victory.
“This family has been through so many ups and downs,” Angelo said. “I can’t explain it in words. I’m so proud of this guy right here. I was just in jail, and he fought for his life. He fought for my life, and that’s exactly what we did out there in that ring. We came home with the gold.”
“Stacks” then poked fun at Gallus by saying that, from now on, it was The Family on top. As for their plans to celebrate, D’Angelo stated that they could get some fresh ziti after they showered.

WWE NXT Great American Bash featured four championship matches. In addition to the tag team title bout, Dominik Mysterio defended the NXT North American Championship. Plus, Tiffany Stratton put the NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Thea Hail. In the main event, Ilja Dragunov challenged Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship.
