Xavier Woods will be back in due time.
Xavier Woods was asked where he has been during an interview with Josh Martinez in Superstar Crossover. Woods has not competed in WWE since May, but he said The New Day is staying busy despite their collective absence from WWE TV.
“Kofi had ankle surgery. So during the draft, [I] came over to Raw, had some matches with Dom, and then I’ve been just getting big at home, dude. I’ve been getting huge. I’ve been doing Dungeons and Dragons appearances. We’re doing USFL appearances.
“That’s the interesting thing. We haven’t been on TV in a minute. What, like a month? Two months? But the thing that people don’t see is all the stuff that we do outside of the ring. We have been working relentlessly on so many other things. So we’ll be back in due time. We’ll be back in due time.”
Big E has been out since March 2022 due to breaking his neck during a match with Ridge Holland. Kofi has been sidelined because of an ankle injury since March 2023.
Back On The Attack
Xavier Woods knows that the landscape of professional wrestling has changed, but he actually likes how it’s transpired.
“I love when it changes because it comes at a slow pace. Then all of a sudden, you see all these faces are faces that have only been there for six months or a year, or a year and a half. That’s what’s kind of happening right now. So many people are filtering in. As people filter in and they get established and the crowd gets to know who they are, then all of a sudden, New Day will be back on the attack.”
