Sam Adonis is leaving Major League Wrestling.
On Friday, Sam Adonis announced his departure from MLW. Adonis posted the following on his Twitter account, thanking the MLW crew for his tenure with the promotion.
“The time has come for myself and @MLW to part ways (for now),” Adonis wrote on Twitter. “I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the MLW Crew and I wish them nothing but the best! Thank you! ?”
WrestleZone has since learned that Sam Adonis’ MLW contract was set to expire this October, and the two parties agreed to part ways early. It was relayed that there was no ill will by either side and the door is open for Adonis’ return down the line.
Adonis also works for AAA Mexico and recently moved to Dallas, so he will be appearing there more often in the coming weeks.
Adonis signed with MLW in October 2022 and made his debut at the promotion’s Fightland event on October 30. He last competed in a Country Whipping Match against Mance Warner at MLW’s Never Say Never event on July 8.
