Ashley D’Amboise had a weekend full of highs and lows.
“La Crème de la Crème” was in France this weekend for a wrestling seminar and wrestling match with APC (Association les Professionnels du Catch). The seminar also featured IMPACT Wrestling star Trey Miguel, who is now D’Amboise’s fiancé.
Miguel proposed to D’Amboise on Saturday and they shared their big news on social media.
The following night, however, D’Amboise ran into some bad luck as she broke her ankle during her match against Amale and Celine at APC’s Apocalypse VI event. D’Amboise posted the following message from her hospital room, showing her injured foot and her engagement ring.
“Thank you to EVERYONE who was there for me tonight,” D’Amboise wrote. “From the floor of the venue to the hospital bed. I can’t express how much it means to me that so many people pulled together to help me. Je vous aime tous”
It’s unknown how long D’Amboise will be sidelined due to the injury. It was previously reported that AEW offered D’Amboise a contract. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) later reported D’Amboise agreed to a deal but it was unclear what tier she was under.
Ashley D’Amboise spoke with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay about her progress after two years in the wrestling business, how she ended up working with Deonna Purrazzo, her appearances on All Elite Wrestling and WWE TV, costume issues for her ballerina appearance on SmackDown and more.
