Ring of Honor is set to introduce new authority figures, and a new report shines some light on the situation. Spoilers are below.
During the ROH TV tapings on June 4, Tony Khan introduced Jerry Lynn, a former ROH World Champion, and Stokely Hathaway, the former manager of The Firm, as ROH’s one Board of Directions.
In the announcement, Khan stated that Hathaway and Lynn will have the authority to make matches, and they will have general authority in ROH. Their decisions can only overruled by Khan.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Hathaway had been pushing for a new role, which will come s the heel babyface authority figure in ROH. Meanwhile, Lynn will be the babyface of the duo. Sapp wrote that their authority is only in storyline, as Khan is fully continuing with all of his responsibilities.
Per Sapp, it’s unclear what the new role means for Hathaway’s immediate future in AEW, but The Firm was originally set to conclude with The Firm Deletion match, which aired on the May 5 episode of AEW Rampage.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
