ECW legend Sabu appeared during the May 24 episode of AEW Dynamite and aligned with Adam Cole.
In an in-ring segment between Cole and the Jericho Appreciation Society, Jericho and Cole went back and forth ahead of their upcoming match at AEW Double or Nothing as the two signed the contract. In typical contract-signing fashion, tensions rose, and the situation started ti break down.
Cole said that he knows that Jericho would have the numbers advantage on him, and that’s why he called in a friend. Out came Sabu, stunning everyone as he made his way into the ring. He dropped Matt Menard with a chair that Cole threw him before the JAS ran off.
After the segment, All Elite Wrestling announced that Sabu would be the “special enforcer” for the match between Cole and Jericho at Double or Nothing.
A decorated legend in the world of wrestling, Sabu is best known for his stint with the hardcore wrestling promotion ECW. He is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion, having won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship twice and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship once. The legend is also a three-time ECW World Tag Team Champion, among other accolades
