Chris Jericho wants to fight Adam Cole at AEW Double or Nothing.
The rivalry between Cole and Jericho started on the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, where Cole defeated Daniel Garcia, one of Jericho’s stablemates in the Jericho Appreciation Society. Since then, tensions have rapidly risen between the two.
Jericho worked with The Outcasts to brutally attack Cole and his girlfriend, Britt Baker, and Cole was forced to watch as The Outcasts hit Britt with a kendo stick. Jericho subsequently got Cole barred from being in the same building as him to make sure they stayed far apart.
On the May 19 episode of AEW Rampage, Jericho called Cole a coward, and Cole vowed to make Jericho’s life a living hell any way he could. Jericho then challenged Cole to an Unsanctioned Match at AEW Double or Nothing and announced that the legal agreement keeping Cole barred from the building was null and void.
Cole responded by entering the arena and taking the fight to Jericho, and the two foes brawled until they were separated. Jericho and Cole are set to sign the contract for their match on the May 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Double or Nothing as it airs on May 28.
