Pretty Deadly discuss getting drafted to WWE SmackDown after they swam with the fishes following their last match on WWE NXT.
Elton Prince and Kit Wilson, collectively known as Pretty Deadly, lost a Trunk Match to Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo on the “NXT Spring Breakin'” special episode of WWE NXT on April 25. Later in the show, D’Angelo said the duo was “swimming with the fishes”, and the camera panned to the water, The former NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Champions were selected by SmackDown in the 2023 WWE Draft.

Prince: “Great, of course. There’s not many other things to say (about being drafted) other than just how exciting it was. It was a very, I guess, stressful weekend because obviously, everyone in the Performance Center was hoping that it’s them. We felt like we had a good possibility. Not just out of arrogance but we died on the NXT episode the week before so — nearly died.”
Wilson: “We got chucked in a river, but luckily we’re two good swimmers.”
Prince: “Very good swimmers so we made it out there… But yeah, so we thought there was maybe a good chance but again, none of us knew but yes, it’s funny because we heard the announcement and it’s like, we didn’t even process what happened. We heard ‘Elton’ and then both of us were just — I didn’t even hear the rest of what anybody said and it wasn’t until we sat down, we had to find out what brand we were on because we were so excited from the news, we didn’t even notice the graphic of where we were going. We just knew we were going up. So, yeah, very exciting.”
The WWE Draft rosters took effect on May 8, so it’s likely a matter of time before Pretty Deadly make their SmackDown debut.
